They See Me Rollin'

Hello guys! It's practically been half a year since I've posted, crazy right? I hope all of you are having a great year so far and are sticking to your new resolutions/goals if you made any.  This year I didn't make any new ones but I'm constantly trying to improve(in small ways) and try new things.

Speaking of, I have gotten into some really cool hobbies like rock climbing, acro yoga, and hot yoga. Which all might sound a little intense but with a little determination and practice I've been able to stick with it . I never really knew how physically strong I was and that I could push myself as much as I have in order to do these activities. It's amazing to see my progress both physically and mentally.

I've also been going out more( Drake would be so proud) and by that I mean going to art shows, museums, markets, and even Facebook events.

I hadn't been to a roller rink since I was about 16/17 years old and when I got an invite from a friend on Facebook for this roller rink meet up  I obviously had to attend. My friends and I were so excited to get dressed up and go skate, it was definitely a little harder than I remember it being but a great time nonetheless. I loved seeing all the funky outfits and dance moves on the floor. Imagine Beyonce's "Blow" video but with a lot less coordinated group ha! The event even made it into C-Heads Magazine, so cool right!? You guys can check out the full article/pictures here.

Meet Cary

DSC_7605DSC_7600DSC_7589DSC_7591DSC_7582

This morning I shadowed Cary Fagan for one of his shoots. To my surprise I arrived to see the models were familiar faces, the Anderson family consisting of Hannah and Sophia(pictured above) and Joshua whom was also working behind the camera. I see why he chose them, I mean c'mon look at how gorgeous they are! I met Cary at the Instagram Meet Up that took place a few months back and like many others we stayed in touch through Instagram. He shoots with film which I love so I asked if I could come and shadow him and he was kind enough to allow me to. I've been keeping up with his photography since meeting him and I can honestly say he's one of my favorite photographers. I would describe his work as dreamy from the beautiful models to the grain on each picture. You can see him through his art, in person he's a minimalist and very artistic and that translates to the images. Everyone can check out his work and prints (here).

Until next time, byeee <3

Instameet Houston

stairsinsta circleselfie

I'm so excited to share some pictures from the instameet I went to on Sunday since this was my very first one! I've heard of the event and saw there was one months ago but unfortunately after it already happened. If you aren't familiar with instameet's its pretty much what it sounds like, a group of people living in a certain area meet up(mine being Houston). The purpose is to grow the Instagram community and help you socialize with people you may never have the chance to. I met so many beautiful and sweet people and we are all following each other on Instagram to keep in touch. There's already plans for another instameet this month on the 25th. For this one we met downtown and walked around taking pictures of each other and our little adventure. It was nice being able to hang out with creative and like minded people without feeling too out of my comfort zone. Every single person I met was so welcoming and friendly. I can't wait for the next one and hopefully I wont forget the film for my Holga this time! All these pictures were taken by Cary Fagan, you can check out his work(here). He did such a great job at capturing the event and he has such a cool style I wish I would've had time to have taken some pictures of him. His new website is launching tonight at 8:30pm so I'm eager to see the film he made and more photography.

Until next time, bye <3333
