They See Me Rollin'

Hello guys! It's practically been half a year since I've posted, crazy right? I hope all of you are having a great year so far and are sticking to your new resolutions/goals if you made any.  This year I didn't make any new ones but I'm constantly trying to improve(in small ways) and try new things.

Speaking of, I have gotten into some really cool hobbies like rock climbing, acro yoga, and hot yoga. Which all might sound a little intense but with a little determination and practice I've been able to stick with it . I never really knew how physically strong I was and that I could push myself as much as I have in order to do these activities. It's amazing to see my progress both physically and mentally.

I've also been going out more( Drake would be so proud) and by that I mean going to art shows, museums, markets, and even Facebook events.

I hadn't been to a roller rink since I was about 16/17 years old and when I got an invite from a friend on Facebook for this roller rink meet up  I obviously had to attend. My friends and I were so excited to get dressed up and go skate, it was definitely a little harder than I remember it being but a great time nonetheless. I loved seeing all the funky outfits and dance moves on the floor. Imagine Beyonce's "Blow" video but with a lot less coordinated group ha! The event even made it into C-Heads Magazine, so cool right!? You guys can check out the full article/pictures here.

Welcome to Chinatown

I was lost but now I am found, yesterday I discovered Chinatown and the Harwin district. Living in Houston my whole life I had only heard about the magical place where one could buy extremely cheap accessories and find stores filled with Sanrio cuteness. I nearly passed out from how many cute plush animals and tiny..well everything was that I saw. I was expecting traditional building structures and bright decorations to cover the area(like I had seen in Sex and the City) but was surprised with what looked like any other part of Houston.  Each plaza had a huge selection of restaurants, clothing stores, and markets. I was able to get a taste of the Chinese culture and try new foods with friends. I cant wait to go back and explore the other plazas!
Until my next post, bye babes <3
